PhD Talent is an association founded by volunteer PhD students and young PhDs interested in entrepreneurship and innovation, applied research, and transfer of concept and ideas. We collaborate with other PhD associations (from universities, labs or research institutions) to organize an international career fair in Paris for PhD students regardless their research field or academic background.
PhD Talent is more than an event organizer, we also aims to strengthen the relations between PhD students/graduates and companies through our two events: the Career Fair and the Challenge.
In June 2011, the first edition of the PhD career fair gathered one thousand PhDs and more than 50 companies (from multinational companies to small and medium businesses) at “le 104” in Paris. Six hundreds PhDs students from Harvard to Delhi, registered to compete for our PhD challenge. Ten thousand Euros of price were given to the three winning teams.
To insure our success we developed strong partnerships with the major universities of Paris, the city of Paris, the Ile de France region, Adoc Talent management, the first European Recruiting Company of PhD, hypios the first social marketplace for solutions and the Apec a French organization, which promotes openness and efficiency in the management jobs market.
